I really like this watch. It has all the features i look for in a watch and more. There was one major downside though.

Con’s
Easily scratched face
Watch band mounts to the case.

The 2nd con above was a big downside for me. The darker grey band mounts on the case are rubber. Without doing anything other than wearing it normally, eventually the band pin cuts through the rubber. I have had mine replaced twice. The first time i replaced one side and then a week after getting it back the other side broke.
A month later it happened again. This time the whole band was replaced.
Frustrating as it was, Casio fixed the band on each occasion without charge even though the seemingly great 3 year warranty doesnt cover anything other than the electronics.

I will definitely buy another Casio, maybe another databank, but i will make sure, absolutely sure that it is all steel construction.

The band mount mars was is otherwise a great watch.

I give it 2 stars, but with a better band mount it would have been five.

To be brief: the clasp is solid, shiny and works like a charm. Definitely a must-have if you want your watch to have a little extra — a classy clasp instead of an ugly tang buckle).

I purchased this for my wife and she loves it. Gets comments on how nice it is as well. Of course it’s her taste so I thought she’d like it. But the quality seems to be there and it looks really nice in person. Figuring out a way to create a tiny picture to go inside was a different story! Very difficult at first… (hint – try google Picassa).

Great Watch Not Great Band, June 30, 2009

Watch works very well. Have had it for a few years. Band keeps breaking after 1 to 3 months which was getting expensive – not to mention annoying. However when I complained to Timex they suggested a metal link band as a replacement to the resin band, which solved the problem. It looks great too.

My husband has worn this exact kind of Ironman watch for about 10 years. He got his first one a decade ago as a gift from my mother, and since then has had 2 replacements, the most recent being one I got him for Christmas this year. I just received the T5E901 Ironman Triathlon watch. It seems like a nice watch for the price. Being an aging baby boomer, I appreciate the large, easy to read numerals. I am a little disappointed with the Indiglo night display. I was expecting it to be easier to see in the dark.
